Road Cycling in the Mayrhofen area
The Ziller Valley is the home of Tour de France ride, Georg Totschnig. The valley has routes to suit all types of road bike riders. For families and the young at heart, follow the river along the valley floor, from Mayrhofen to Strass.
Experienced cyclists can try the harder ascents to one of the four reservoirs that surround the valley. For those wanting to cycle further a field, a loop of 116miles/186kilometres, takes you over the Gerlos Pass (1531m), through the town of Kitzbuhel, heading back to Mayrhofen via Wörgl.
Or cycle into Bavaria, past the lakes of Achensee and Tegernsee. Why not spend a week doing hill work for the upcoming season, maybe bring your team out for spring training, or just for a holiday.
